DEVIMGRA LOCAL EVENT

The DevMigra Erasmus+ project is committed to empowering young migrants through local events and capacity building. Let's delve into how the project's second objective will be achieved:

Engaging Young Migrants Through Local Activities:

The project aims to directly engage at least 40 young migrants through local events. These events will provide a platform for young migrants to connect, learn, and develop the skills they need to thrive in their new communities. The format of these local events can vary depending on partner organizations and local needs, but they may include:

  • Workshops: Interactive sessions focused on building skills related to self-promotion, resume writing, interview techniques, and navigating the job market in the host country.

  • Networking Events: Opportunities for young migrants to connect with professionals, mentors, and other young people to build their social capital and explore career paths.

  • Information Sessions: Events providing young migrants with clear and accessible information about skills recognition procedures, educational opportunities, and available support services.

 â€‹

Equipping Young Migrants for Success:

A core aspect of the local events is equipping young migrants with the tools they need to promote their skills effectively. The project will develop new resources, such as:

  • Skill-building materials: Guides, templates, and online resources tailored to the needs of young migrants.

  • Digital tools: Platforms or applications that can assist young migrants in showcasing their skills and qualifications to potential employers.

Measuring Impact:

The success of the local events will be measured through participant feedback. A key indicator will be the percentage of young migrants who, after using the new project tools, report an improvement in their ability to promote their skills. This demonstrates the project's effectiveness in empowering young migrants and equipping them for success.

Long-Term Benefits:

By providing both young migrants and youth operators with the necessary tools and knowledge, DevMigra aims to achieve a lasting impact:

  • Increased Social Inclusion: Equipping young migrants with skills and fostering connections will increase their inclusion in society, particularly for those who may face greater challenges.

  • Enhanced Employability: By empowering young migrants to effectively promote their skills, the project aims to improve their employment opportunities.

  • Active Participation in Society: By enabling young migrants to showcase their skills and qualifications, DevMigra fosters their engagement in their new communities.

The DevMigra Erasmus+ project recognizes the importance of local events and capacity building to empower young migrants and create a brighter future for them.
