DevMigra Erasmus+ Project Kick-Off Meeting: A Success in Málaga, Spain!

The DevMigra Erasmus+ project is thrilled to announce a successful kick-off meeting held from June 17th to 20th, 2023, in La Noria, Málaga, Spain! This exciting event brought together partner organizations from across Europe to collaborate on empowering young migrants.

Building Bridges for Young Migrants:

The meeting served as a platform for partners to establish a strong foundation for the project. Key areas of focus included:

  • Needs Assessment: Partner organizations will be conducting research at the national level to identify the specific needs of young migrants regarding skills and qualification recognition in their host countries.

  • Educational Training Evaluation: Partners will assess the effectiveness of current educational training programs that utilize Non-Formal Education (NFE) methodologies in the context of migrant integration activities. This will involve creating a comprehensive grid of best practices and identifying the most successful approaches that can benefit young migrant populations.

Collaboration for Impact:

The DevMigra project thrives on collaboration. The kick-off meeting fostered a strong sense of partnership and a shared commitment to achieving the project's goals. Partners actively participated in discussions, shared valuable insights, and began planning their research activities.

Looking Ahead:

The DevMigra team is energized and eager to move forward. The knowledge and best practices gleaned from the research will be used to develop a valuable toolkit, including a manual titled "Mediation Skills for Youth Operators." This manual will equip professionals working with young migrants with the necessary skills and knowledge to empower them on their journey.

Stay tuned for further updates on the DevMigra project's progress! We will be sharing information about our research findings, the development of the "Mediation Skills for Youth Operators" manual, and how this project is making a positive impact on the lives of young migrants across Europe.
