Malaga, Spain – In a significant step towards fostering greater social inclusion and support for migrants, young participants from the Jordan Youth Innovation Forum recently completed an intensive international training program in Malaga, Spain. This initiative, a key component of the DEVMIGRA project, aimed to bolster the capacities of these young leaders in effectively working with migrant communities.

The week-long program was meticulously designed to equip the participants with vital skills in psychosocial support, a critical area for addressing the unique challenges faced by migrants. Through a series of engaging workshops and interactive sessions, the young people delved into methodologies for providing empathetic and effective assistance.

A core focus of the training was the promotion of social inclusion through non-formal education. This innovative approach emphasized collaborative learning, enabling participants to co-design strategies and develop creative solutions for integrating young migrants into their new environments. The program fostered an atmosphere of shared discovery, encouraging participants to think outside traditional frameworks and develop practical, impactful initiatives.

The training in Malaga was described as "a week full of collaborative learning, co-design, and creative thinking." Participants engaged in hands-on activities that not only enhanced their theoretical understanding but also provided them with practical tools and techniques they can implement in their home communities. This experience is expected to significantly contribute to their efforts in building a more inclusive future for young migrants, empowering them to become agents of positive change.
